My wife and I love Honfleur so have stayed on the Aire most years when in the area!Last sat night site packed, must have been 100 to 150 vans all at 11 euros each. What a cash cow for the Honfleur council! What do you get for your money?wall to wall campers, electric if lucky,1 fresh water tap.stinking toilet disposal with tap for washing out toilet!Saw loads using it for fresh water!Disgusting rip off!Think I will give it miss in future!

Exactly the reason I no longer visit the aire, prefer to pay a little more and stay at the campsite.

It's been like that for donkeys years and it doesn't stop well over 200 vehicles on site in mid summer - over a hundred in mid winter.
Whether you or I go won't alter that and there are plenty of Aires, including free ones, in the area but the best way to feel a bit better us to get to Honfleur late, don't pay and leave early.

Dozens do it every night - not 'playing the game' but a fact if life.

I stayed recently at the campsite and was likewise disappointed by the value for money/ service on offer.

I called in advance to attempt to book to be advised they didn’t take advanced bookings, my pitch was VERY small & very uneven, the toilets were very “rustic” and it took about 45 mins to leave the site due to vans backing up waiting to use the service point (to empty tanks etc) and blocking off the exit.

I will be avoiding Honfleur and find some other options going forward.

We’ve been there a couple of times, I always thought it was expensive and didn’t use the services.
The town was nice, but noticed lots of dog mess on the pavements.
The only reason we used it a second time was because we had a Winnebago, it was late evening in August and I thought there would be space to park. There was, luckily, but we left early to avoid the bottleneck of everyone leaving.
There are much nicer aires and towns to visit nearby.

Once was enough for us. The night we stayed, a Belgian couple had their brand new electric bikes lifted of the back of their motorhome. I think Honfleur is very commercialised and the meal out we had was awful.

Just up the hill from Honfleur is a cracking campsite called La Briquerie it’s by the water tower and next to a supermarket and large diy store. It was a great campsite with excellent facilities we stayed there twice much more civilised than the crazy aire which was disgusting the last time we went there.thats another story.

We have been loads of times and hopefully will again but what strikes me about it is the town and residents think it's a fancy place, which ok, it is, and yet the Aire which must provide most of their customers, is just about the worst and most expensive you can find, surely the income it provides would leave enough for a bit of tarmac.

Problem with sites is, if you arrive at 5pm and leave the next day at say 4pm they charge you for 2 nights. So for a 24 hour stop it will cost you about €40 compared to €11 for the Aire. Also the Aire works out a lot cheaper than the carpark.

My wallet still hasn't recovered from a coffee & crepe on the harbour front. ?

We haven’t been to Honfleur for years and wouldn’t use the Aire if we did visit, it was pretty awful years ago!

I stayed on The bit land near Lidl on the other side of the river from the aire. Very quiet only one other motor home and a 2 minute walk in to town..
Think I spoke to a funster couple that were on the aire at the time and it looked my idea of hell? only 3 spaces though.

There's half a dozen parking spots listed around honfleur though.
The aire with 150 vans would be bottom of my list just above the campsite.
