We’ve just learned that our house insurer doesn’t allow an empty house over 30 days , so I’m not best pleased soooo

Any recommendations for any motorhome / euro tourer friendly insurance companies for my pending renewal ?

Most have the option to choose 60 consecutive days, Rias, Privilege, RSA, AVIVA from memory

I think you can set the duration as a requirement on such as the search engine comparison sites

I rang ours. 30 days. But, after a chat they agreed that if I kept the heating to 15 deg, turned off the water and had someone visit and inspect the house every week they would extend to 60 days.

30 days max vacant, is basic cover for domestic household policy, as others have posted some are higher.
If you want more, we've been away nearly a year and use Adrian Flux, as our daughter was popping in we
got "holiday home" cover, we also have friends popping in the check the place over.
I believe Adrian Flux offer "empty property" insurance if you don't have anyone to visit periodically.
We also used Adrian Flux for "stored car" insurance, (untaxed, not MOT) in a lock-up, as a thought if you have a car.

We're currently with Sky Protect who gives 60 days, unfortunately it can't be extended but if that's sufficient then try them and do it via Quidco or Topcashback to get a bit of cashback.

We used 'empty house cover' for my late mother in law's house whilst I managed her estate. You need to carefully check the extent of cover as it was quite limited regarding contents.

That was with the Halifax, other insurers may be better.

LV is 60 days - it's who we used to be with but changed to Sky Protect (underwritten by Zurich) this year for half the price LV wanted on renewal!

One thing to be aware of is that although some insurers will extend the period usually for a small premium the level of what's covered can drop dramatically. With our previous insurer we could have extend from 60 to 90 days for about £14 I think but the reduced cover was just too much of a risk, I did a thread about it.

Not if you're thatched , they don't. Anything over 30 days I have to have a 'Responsible Adult' come into the house every two to three days to check all is OK.

Several years under the belt....
I rang ours. 30 days. But, after a chat they agreed that if I kept the heating to 15 deg, turned off the water and had someone visit and inspect the house every week they would extend to 60 days.
After dozens of hours trawling for house coverage for 114 days of travel with no luck as per your post, I eventually read the fine print of our current provider AXA, and noted that the policy said that as long as a family member or authorised person stayed in the house once every 60 days, the unnocupied rules did not apply. After a week or so I actually got them to confirm it to me writing as follows:

“if an authorised person, usually friend or family member will be staying within the property at least 1 night during the clients extended trip away; the un-occupancy rules would not apply.”

Check your policy wording and this may work for you if you have a local friend/neighbour who does not.mind a stay over or two?

Hi. Bloody kids keep moving back home. We have never managed to get them all out at the same time to change the locks. So our house is never unoccupied for more than a day.

My current home insurance has gone up 40% (cost of living - b0xs). Anyone found one at decent price for more than 30 days. BOOMEL
