A friend has a holiday home in the Dordogne and her insurers have refused to renew the house insurance on the basis the it is less than 500 metres from the river. But it is in fact uphill and much higher than any previous flood level. This must be affecting many people in France and especially the English in Dordogne. Does anyone have a reprintable answer, or any suggestions of a suitable insurer?
