We are here for the weekend catching up with two of my cousins, both are nurses so very proud of them of course.

Weather glorious, just look at the view from Thorncombe Beacon.

Everyone behaving themselves on the campsite.

Can’t help you there I’m afraid Frankie, the little tip you see in the photo is Portland Bill, you can’t get much further South than that!
I’m sure you’re very proud of your son. My youngest cousin Sue is a Practice Nurse at the surgery where I was a GP trainee 33 years ago. I felt positively ancient!

Actually I don't know what's worse, the Covid he has to face in hospital or the section he's working in at the mo which is pediatric psychiatry. Last time I saw him he was in pain with bad shots ... so violent they can be those youngsters!

I hadn't seen the pic you've posted , Beautiful sight indeed.

Best I can do for you frankie , first ones out my bedroom window

Exactly what I love!!! Streams and foggy places! My first time in Inverness it was raining, and the Loch Ness was foggy... And I thought: Yesss, this is it! When I came to the same place 2 years later, it was all sunny! Everybody in my shoes would have said , oh goodie ... but not me! I love this land with its mystery, and legends, and history tales, especially if someone reads some of the Bard's poems at the same time... Add a few tartans and clans' stories and I'm in paradise!

A few from round about for you. Also some from our trips to Shetland. The climber is our son. The two with the Morris Minors are taken at the same spot 40 yrs apart. First on our honeymoon and 2nd after 40th anniversary. Laggan Dam in the Highlands.

Beautiful. We stayed there in September. Cracking views.

After saying how well behaved everyone was there was one very unhappy caravanner across from us this morning chatting to one of the wardens. The warden was just clearing up a large pile of dog poop from the caravanner’s pitch, the caravanner had no dog and was not impressed but was grateful to the warden though. The dog had done it on the gravel right by the road.

Absolutely stunning photos. Were planning Scotland next Spring. Just had a few days in the Clun valley in Shropshire - stunning scenery but had forgotten how hard the hills are on a pushbike! e-bike or bust!!!

No it’s not. The first one was done by my husband back in the late 70’s. It had a Fiat twin cam 1600 in it but the black one was done by someone else. It has a 2.0 fiat engine. He’s done some remedial work on it but it’s not such a refined car as the first one was. We also have one he’s restoring at the moment but it’s staying original. Hubby was featured in a 70’s custom car magazine.

Do you still have a Morris Minor Cherub ? As i too have a Morris minor which i have owned for over 30 years !
Yes we do Figaro. We just love them. We have one original and one not quite so! Their style is just lovely isn’t it? Full of character.

The 'Highlands end' post appears to have become the 'Highlands thread'
