Hi to everyone. Only just subscribed.

Urgently looking to gather information in general about A Class.

Planning to purchase within next six months.

Fortunate to have large budget and parking at home has absolutely no size restrictions.

Will now start to browse over all the previous categories and posts

I am sure questions will start to flow......

Look forward to being part of the community

Welcome.

We drive a Hymer A class and love the views out of the front window!

The best investment you can make is to pay the £15 subs and become a full member here. Otherwise you will only be able to make 5 posts. Also gives you free access to @Jim 's excellent book on buying your first motorhome, and also means you can attend all the meets and rallies.

Perceived wisdom on here suggests you will get the ideal motorhome at the third attempt. We were lucky and made it in 2 attempts. Layout is the most important thing to look for, closely followed by payload. The best bet is to get out there and start looking for what you want.

Do you have a C1 license? If not you will be limited to driving under 3.5t models. That may make it difficult to find a decent A class with enough payload to be practical.

Hi @peterc10 Thanks for comment and info.
Yes, fortunately have C1 license. Aware of £15 sub which will be forthcoming.
Have spent long time in concluding thoughts and making final decision on getting A Class, now the practical side in making the right choice begins.......which i agree with your view - do the leg work round shows and dealers. Looking forward to it!

Sounds like you have a good plan.

When you find one you like you can always ask for advice on here before buying. If it is a popular one (Hymer, Rapido, Carthago etc) you will get comments from people who own the model.

Hello and welcome from West Midlands. Are you in a position to go to the NEC show near Birmingham. It's on now and will cut down on an awful lot of the legwork

Welcome!
Enjoy your search.
My only advice would be to take your time, and only believe 10% of what the dealers tell you.
