Hi my Truman 6e combi boiler made a loud explosion noise whilst on gas it was that bad it blew the plastic cowl of the outside of the van. This happen again the day after running for about 30 minutes. Does anyone have any idea the cause of this.
Thanks

If you post a picture of the cowl it might help as some boilers have a removable cowl that must be taken off before using🤔
is this on a caravan?

I strongly suggest if you have to ask on the open internet, that you need a professional GasSafe engineer to look at it. It sounds like a build up of gas that ignited which should not happen. An explosion of that force may well have breached safety seals meaning carbon monoxide leaking into the van.

Please get it professionally check and tested. Next time the whole van might go up.

No help to you I'm afraid, but I seem to remember reading ianthebuilder had a similar incident in Spain where his cowl fired into a Germans pitch and nearly triggered a diplomatic incident

Oh, and welcome

Thanks I am not going to use it until it's been looked at by a pro just curious as not a lot of info on the web on this fault but you would think modern tec should have safety features to prevent. Like someone said the whole van could have gone up.
