Just ask yourself, what are friends for, for me I would help anyone, who genuinely needs help...except the guy who lives on the ground floor, he finds it hard to raise his head while passing...that was until his car wouldn't start last week....he smiled at me whilst asking if I had cables...still haven't worked out his nationality...I spoke in English and Spanish...his return look was neither...
Now it's my time to ask a friend... couldn't think of anyone other than a near neighbour gus-lopez ...Richard...I need help fixing a new solar panel with a tilt system....no problem pop over..... I've been, we've done it, my hand in a cast proved difficult to perform a DIY.....ask a friend, a fellow funster, a neighbour, a good bloke...Thanks Richard.. couldn't manage it without you. The screw calculation was 100% the panel was still in situ when I got home..

jumar I had a neighbour like that, but he occasionally spoke more often than not he didn't, where we lived there was only 3 houses down the lane, one Sunday morning walking up the lane with our two dogs ........ morning Peter ...... nothing I turned round and shouted that's the last time I will waste my f in breath 😄 God I felt so much better after that. 😁
A while after that they split up, and the wife was lovely. 🙂

Yes having met gus-lopez Richard he is a nice friendly and useful neighbour to have, I wish he was closer to us, 😉 but we don't mind travelling. 😁
Your not the first he has helped, well done Richard 👍 we are house / pet sitting again at the moment, they have gone back for a family funeral, and we always like to think someone will return the favour when we need help. 🙂 Bob

I used to service and repair a neighbour's Renault car. I did not charge him.
He would often say "Any time I can return the favour just ask"
He was a line man for BT. To this day I cannot think of a job he would have been good for.:whistle:

I have always beleived in "what goes around comes around" I will help anyone I can if asked and many times without being asked.

Have you had a kindness shown?
Pass it on;
’Twas not given for thee alone,
Pass it on;
Let it travel down the years,
Let it wipe another's tears,
’Til in Heaven the deed appears —
Pass it on.
