Anyone help out, on our way to Santander for Wednesday sailing to Portsmouth. Left ourselves 5 days to travel from Malaga up. Broke down just north of Granada 2pm Friday recovery did not get us until 6pm. No garages open so van locked away until Monday. 90 days up on Saturday don't know whats happening until garage takes a look. A long shot but anyone been in a similar situation regards who to contact.

Thanks, we have roadside assistance from insurance. The problem is no garage until today. Van is now in pieces at garage, still no idea when ready but hopefully today to give us a chance for ferry on Wednesday. Thanks again

In any case, I suggest you keep all papers proving it's not your decision but the breakdown and mainly the parts not being found in time.
If you are really fearing any consequence then you could just take a flight with ryan air or easy jet get your papers stamped and come back for 3 more months , even though you don't want to use them

Unfortunately it does not work any more like that for UK citizens ,Frankie.
If you have been in for 90 days then when you leave you cannot return for 90 days.

Update, told van ready for 7pm so again still unsure what the hell to do regarding ferry. Tried calling but couldn't get through. 7pm van not ready until tomorrow lunch too late to call ferry so booked into hotel with wifi, sent message to ferry. Tuesday am call from ferry explained 90 day and situation, very understanding giving us the option to still try and make Wednesday or move to saturday. Only £54.00, so back to garage 11:30 and there she was ready and waiting. Called ferry amended booking and haho now in Villadpenas taking it easy to Santander saturday 89 days. Four days of not knowing, hell. Amazing service from direct ferries, insurance covered both hotels and the garage who fitted us in, no English and no Spanish, that will teach us. Anyway once again thanks for the support.

Well ferry booked for 16th, first night at Donnington Park then Canterbury before catching ferry too France then first trip to Greece. Oh no the clutch had a different plan, 2 minutes from Donnington and here we go again. Had to get towed of the A50 by traffic police and wait for tow truck. Back home waiting for garage to call. Will I ever get to Greece?

Not only coronavirus related, but should this be viewed by another in your situation in the future (thread search) then the attached covers these situations.

Sorry just having a rant. If you read all of my post you would of seen in England not EU. If I have posted incorrectly then apologies. The point was the clutch gone again. Nothing to do with coronavirus.

OMG thats awful the clutch should fail again. Surely a fault of the fitting Garage ?
But if they were in Spain that's a big problem
Hope you get it sorted
