Looking at the picture I think this one is batteryThe igniter on that fridge is not electric, its a peso and you have to keep clicking it
If it is battery ignition, it may need a new batteryI tried to attach a small video but that hasn’t worked . Basically is sounds like it is trying to light( whooshing sound) , no clicking noise and the needle never moves into the green .
Ok I will give it a go . Thank youIf you are confident you could remove the external vent and get some to hold the thermostat knob in while you use a lighter or match to light it.
If that won’t light then at least you know the gas isn’t getting through.
When you take the lower cover off the burner assembly will be behind a hinged metal shield. Normally held in place by one screw. Possible worth blowing the assembly if you can or giving it a vaccuum.Ok I will give it a go . Thank you
Thank you . Struggling to get the cover offWhen you take the lower cover off the burner assembly will be behind a hinged metal shield. Normally held in place by one screw. Possible worth blowing the assembly if you can or giving it a vaccuum.
I'm guessing you haven't got a constant flow of gas to the fridge yet, although my fridge is auto mastic ignition it will try to light, then light and go out until there is constant flow of gas. This can take a good 5-10 minutes before it lights and stays running. Thanks again guys . I have taken the cover off and attempted to light it manually . There doesn’t appear to even be a spark now when I look but if I hold the dial down and try and light with a match then it goes “whoosh” and then stops and doesn’t even try and start up . I will try and find out how to replace the jets
What do I do to get the gas going ? Hold the dial down for longer ?I'm guessing you haven't got a constant flow of gas to the fridge yet, although my fridge is auto mastic ignition it will try to light, then light and go out until there is constant flow of gas. As I said mines automatic so I don't do anything, what it seems to do is supply gas then try to light for about 1 minute if it fails it stops for approx 30 seconds then the cycle starts again until it lights and stays lit. So in your situation I would try constantly hold the dial down while using the ingnition, if it doesn't light after a minute stop for thirty seconds and try again. This could take quite a few attempts before it lights and stays litWhat do I do to get the gas going ? Hold the dial down for longer ?
It sounds so close to lighting . So frustrating
And a good blue flame, result.Success ! So I don’t think there was ever a problem. The fridge was working all along ! It’s the gauge on the front that must be faulty as it doesn’t move to green when the fridge ignited !
I had to look at the back to see the flame .
This model has no pilot light window .
Thanks for all the help guys .

Glad it looks good . I’ve heard about a blue flame being good but I can’t remember why . I’ve just put a thermometer in the fridge to check it’s actually cooling and then I will turn the gas off . I’ve also got the hobs ,cooker , grill and heating working for the first time ever on gas so really pleased with today’s progress . Will check the hot water works at some point when the tank is full . This is all stuff I thought I better try out because we are going to try off grid at rallies etc when allowedAnd a good blue flame, result.
