Parked up in Spain and no solar input despite overhead sun.

The Orion XS says it is off with the error message; ‘the charger is disabled by remote or BMS.

I don’t understand, all advice welcome.

Thank you

Just started the engine and charging was fine (55 minutes to fully recharge)

The XS has three leds and the one for bulk charge is lit.

If you have lithium hab batteries, has the bms turned off accepting charge,?

Are you relying on the BMS to tell you charge level or do you have a shunt for example?

The XS is not a solar charger it's a B2B so only works when engine running. Do you have a separate solar panel and controller?

In the MPPT app, it says further down ‘why is the charger off’.

Clicking on it it says ‘insufficient PV power’

Have you been anywhere near the mppt to get an Atlas out for example and knocked out a lead ?

Can you see on trends Exactly the moment you lost input ? And is there a clue with that ?

I m not sure whether this thought works or not for solar input but you haven't accidentally turned off charging on your battery app ?

Just cleaned the panels with a wet mop, but it made no difference (not that I expected it to)

FANXXXXXXX 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
No, I hadn’t turned off charging accidentally, BUT, thought that I would turn off both charging and discharging then back on again.

All systems go 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Expert here... I told you to turn it off & back on again 🤣🤣🤣

Is it just me that thinks that only those with expensive and complicated Lithium battery and inverter set ups seem to have all the problems? So far not gone down that route, stuck with a 120ah agm battery and in 7 years always been ok. Ready to be shot down!
