Well I think it is called a striker plate - I know some one will correct me if I am wrong!

We are away from home and one of the overhead lockers now has a broken striker plate - the bit that the catch fastens to in order to secure it.

It's just a bit of brown L shaped plastic but I have been unable to find an on-line retailer that has them so am probably looking in the wrong place. The one that is broken is the type that sits on the locker lip rather than inside so is an L shape rather than flat. I'd probably buy 10 or so as if one has gone the rest will probably follow.

If anyone could point me in the correct direction I'd be grateful.

I'd call in at the nearest caravan spares or boat chandlers and see if they have something similar.

Try a Google search for "caravan locker catch" then view "images". There should be some that suit.

We have very limited internet connection here which is why I asked after a brief and fruitless search online but The Wino has it spot on I think and when I can get a reliable connection that doesn't time out every 20 seconds I will order. Also no mobile signal here on the Suffolk / Cambridgeshire border

Did that but the internet connection is too weak to show images before it times out. At least MHF remembers what you started to type so it's not a "do over" every time.

Our Adria had the same and yes they do break pretty regularly, worth replacing with the metal version buy a few.

You can make one from a bit of tile trim aluminium angle .

If we were at home :( Mind then I would just 3D print one. Martin is working at our son's house and I am nursing my broken fibula so buying is probably the only way to go since I can't drive of course (right leg - no plaster or boot due to DVT risk) At least we are parked up for a couple of weeks at least - we are an ugly lawn ornament!!!!!!

You've never been ugly Puddleduck :love:

Take it easy for a few weeks you'll soon be on the mend.
We've been stuck for 5 weeks waiting for my woman's bout cellulitis to clear up, including six days in hospital on intravenous antibiotics.:Eeek:
Off to Ireland this afternoon - Yeah !!:clap2::clap2:

Enjoy. I am jealous as the island or Ireland contains 2 lovely countries

New catches arrived about 10 minutes ago and I have replaced the broken one :). I even checked which way to put the upstand before I fastened the screws. Hope you are proud of me for remembering to check that!!!

I also fixed one of the Grandson's battery powered Brio type trains. There had been a blown battery in it which had corroded the contact. I managed to take the train to bits, file off the corrosion and it works. I thought I might have to make a new contact which would have been a pig of a job

Happy days 🙂
