I have a 5200, mine is nothing like that.
I would suggest spaying with silicon and working the knob back and fourth.

You should be able to gets spares from Hill View Awnings or Rose Awnings.

Very similar to our 4900 canopy.

When I had to get parts for our Thule step Tina at Hill View Awnings was very helpful so might be worth giving her a call.

A list of the spare parts on their website but only shows the complete leg.

Don't know if it does but will the bottom (interior) half of the leg pull out the bottom of the upper (exterior) part of the leg?
If it does it should bring the thread clamp with it.
You might be able to get a better look at what's went wrong - might just be something like the "wing nut" has come loose from the friction plate and got wrong threaded?
Worth a try.
