Last night at heligan CS highly recommended (but then it is quite empty - which I like) - very clean site , lovely views and 5 minute walk to the gardens where we spent 2 hours today - hence two very tired old boys

I will look out for that one next year!

I stayed at this site a few years ago but, although it is situated at the entrance to the gardens, they charge £4 per dog per night so probably wouldn't go back.

it worth a visit a decent walk into Mevaggissy along a wooded path.

I notice they state clearly no awnings on grass next to pitch? But also say awnings are free? Having been there do you know what this means in plain English?

cant say i remember any issues with awnings except i think they have to be on your hard standing i think.

they have pitches specific for motorhomes which are hard standing and reasonably level as well as normal caravan pitches which you can still use with a motorhome.

Them gardens are hanging.:dance2:

Yes, not too far from us either! We'll give it a try tomorrow, weather permitting! Watch out for a black Labrador and 2 folk trying to stop her form jumping up at everybody she passes to give them a passing lick!

Lobbs shop do some great frozen foods for the van so its worth a visit. They are great for travelling if you don't feel like cooking a full meal.

I was looking forward to Pentewan Sands closing for winter so we can get back to our local. Just great, lock down commences!

Oh well, Roll on December.

Went to lobbs, got a fridge full of cheeses , a massive steak for me and the boys (2 boxer dogs - 1 is 11 tomorrow , and some homemade pasties and a scotch egg for the trip back . You live in a lovely part of the world and I am very envious . We also saw a black lab , but our younger boxer is a bit of a bruiser and would take offence ;-)
