hi all,yes i am a newbie with an old romahome, and wish i knew more about how everything works.dont know why the eberspacher heater works on a couple of occasions, and not all the time.it has been suggested to me that you need a certain amount of fuel in the tank,it dosnt workhavnt seen anything in the manuel regarding this, but it kind of makes sense.van in storage yard,so dont realy want to get it out,and fill it up yet,so any suggestions will be very gratefull for.regards john.

Have you made sure that the exhaust for the heater is pointing down and now getting water in it ? And my diesel heater will also stop working when the fuel gets low .

It is common that if the heater uses the van fuel tank the feed to your heater will be quite high up to prevent the heater draining your engine tank of fuel.very practicle

If the diesel for your eberspacher heater is taken from the fuel tank for your van, then the fuel pickup point for your eberspacher should be higher the the main pickup for your engine, otherwise you could leave yours with no diesel to start your van.

As well as the diesel take off height, they take a load of power on startup. This requires a lot of voltage in the battery. You may find it starts with the engine on, but not with the engine off. Once started, the engine can be turned off.
