Bus conversion

I am new to this
Hi, we have just joined this forum and looking for an answer to a question which is proving difficult to get an answer on!
Does anybody know can you buy deflectors for bus/motorhome headlights (we have a bus conversion) or do you need to have the headlights manually adjusted.
Thanks for any help!

Google eurolites.

Depending on the type of lights you have, years ago you had marking on the headlights on where to blank off, we have used gaffer tape but not ideal because it gets hot and the glue takes some getting off. :Eeek::rofl: Bob.

No adjustment needed unless perminant import

Stick on light shields, Don't bother. But if you do eurolights stickons available at ferry terminal, on ferry and I guess eurotunnel. Better off using black electrical tape.

Absolutely bloody useless why bother

Another "Not required on voyage" are breathalyzers. Not a legal requirement in France anymore

You can get most glues sticky stuff off your lights using metheyated spirits the purple stuff, does no harm to plastic lenses

Or through tunnels or in the rain.
 I don't bother when we visit the UK, just put the switch on the lowest setting, :whistle2: and don't stay very long. :pop: Bob.

In all the time I was driving coaches on the continent never even thought about headlamp deflectors and never had any problems, although I suspect that it may well have been the type of lights used i.e. no "kick-up" to the left.

Try facing your bus onto a light coloured flat wall and switch on the low or "dipped headlight" setting. The light pattern will show if you need masking or not. If you do have the kick-up (which is what affects oncoming drivers abroad) try sticking pieces of black electrical tape in various positions until you eliminate the offending light. The commercially available beam-benders are only shaped bits of plastic tape!

My van actually passed 5 MoT's like that until one sharp tester noticed I had a left-hand drive headlamp unit! He still passed it though as all it needed was some strategically placed tape.

Check any foreign coach or lorry over here, never seen one with stuff stuck to lights , or been overly dazzled by one either

Then follow the same example, do nothing ?

But we very rarely drive in dark and if we need lights due to bad weather we park up ?
