Hi all. Do we need headlamp deflectors on our French MoHo to drive in the UK, please? If so, does anyone know where we can get some, please? Thank you so much! :)

Don't take my word for it but I believe that the "dip" pattern on French headlights is different to UK in that you don't get the "kick-up" to the right. If that's the case then you won't need deflectors. You could test this by postioning your van close to a light covered wall and looking at the pattern - if there is no kick-up to the right you're okay. That's all the UK testers need to see.

I travelled around for years with a continental unit on the nearside and it was never commented on at MoT time.

But if I'm talking through my butt, as has been known, perhaps one of the French auto clubs had advice?

I had right hand drive set up lights on our T25 ( vw camper , not Russian tank) . I left them never had a problem. I did black out part of the lens gor Mot

When we had our place in France we queried this.

We were told that Continental headlights dip directly ahead, not skewed towards the kerb as in the U.K.. Therefore it was not necessary to fit converter lenses.
