There's an advert in this month's CAMC magazine for Eliminox that claims, among other things such as reducing emissions, an 8-15% reduction in fuel consumption. Most of us don't have the equipment (or desire) to monitor emissions but we would notice a change in fuel consumption easily by using the trip computers in our vehicles. As an old sceptic, I'm always wary of claims in advertising and rely more on actual experience. Has anyone used this product and noticed a change in fuel consumption?

General consensus is that if you have an older, less well maintained engine you may see some benefit from a fuel additive aimed at improving emissions and consumption but probably not enough to cover the cost of the additive. Newer well maintained engines shouldn't need anything added unless it is for peace of mind . . . .
