Has anyone used Dorset Motorhomes?

Looking at finally adding a motorhome to our stable and have seen a possibility at Dorset Motorhomes in Ferndown.

Anyone done business with them please?

Honest opinions would be welcome.

If so we bought from them 2019, they where brilliant. Our water pump went so I called them (being 300 miles away) Told them there’s a camper converter near me.

I have seen an ad for a vehicle and been on their website but it doesn't give an address other than the ad said Ferndown. Reviews on the site mention Luke but no other details and the phone number is a mobile.

They act as agents for owners wanting to sell it seems.

Local to me if you need somebody to look at it for you? as for the dealership/brokerage not heard great things about them, but you rarely hear the good bits. They are based on the main road from Ringwood to Ferndown and I am usually doing 60 when I pass

MDG = Motorhome Dealer Group, I'm currently buying a Motorhome from them and so far so good, they appear to have a very good reputation, they have a website and at least three dealerships, see the link. Countrywide are on the A31 at St Leonards. It doesn't sound like the same company to me but you never know.

They look like different companies to me. Did a quick check and they seem to have different directors but you would have to be more thorough to be sure.

I think people may be confusing two different businesses.

Countrywide Motorhomes is an established business which is part of the MDG Group and has premises on the A31 between Ringwood and Ferndown.

The OP is thinking of buying from Dorset Motorhomes which appears to be an agency, without premises, based in Ferndown. Dorset Motorhomes does not give an address and appears to be an advertising brokerage for private sellers. Their guide to sellers describes their service as “Sell at Home”. The motorhomes are unlikely to be on display on a traditional forecourt.

Fenman I think it would be worth asking Dorset Motorhomes where the motorhome you are interested in can be viewed. It may be just round the corner from one of the local Funsters.
