I've got one on trial to charge my eMTB...the one in the photo is a little different to mine...however the concept is very much the same....we are working on improving the wheels because although my bike is restricted to 25kph I've turned to over twice on downhill rides in the mountains near Madrid...another small adaptation is the Solar coffee machine fitting...this too was a disaster....most of the Kenco spilled out, but the MFG have promised me a better solution....We believe that this is going to be a winner, but not in races as it's been banned in most European countries...sad I know.

Cost? It would need a good lanyard and lock , or only put out when it could be observed, which might be restrictive.
Mike.

Sadly it is still for sale common name for this very high tech item is a The popup buttered toaster

the boys in the workshop call it the paka toaster ideal for a day out.

bread goes inside. Heated by solar and buttered both sites in case you drop a slice. Butter side down as they say.

designed to look like a photocopier because every slice will be the same.

however if the sun is shining you can get a toasted slice every 3 seconds. No sun and you tip on the included lighter fuel set fire to it and toast your own while you wait for the sun..

It could be a very small garage for a very small electric smart car .

No because this is only the prototype. The new improved and a little larger mk11 version is still in production at Microsoft
coupled with the new Microsoft mini pc that’s also due out soon.

the word is it that it will revolutionise the portable pc and laptop world as we know it.

apple have a similar version without the solar panels I think it’s called an IPad .

If Microsoft are involved then it will be for 3rd world countrys with poor power supplies and they will sell it with a annually recurring subscription and tie them into hardware and software updates 👿

Youd be better off just having a flat panel tied behind the bike rack and getting it off when onsite.

The reason i posted the photo is to warn people if you see it advertised for sale as old Amazon stock do not order as they come from China but you never get the thing delivered. I am working with Pay Pal to try and get my money back as the parcel was delivered according to the tracker on 22/1/22 by Royal Mail and all Royal Mail say is get in touch with the sender wich i have done Royal Mail will not say which post code it was deliverd to but it wasnt mine.

It’s got wheels and can be remotely controlled from. Yes you guessed it China.
so no matter what post code it went to …….it was sold again and is still in transit via Royal Mail.

and when it gets to the new post code then someone in China will remotely move it to an undisclosed postcode to another postcode when it has been sold again.

seems it could be an EBay member registered as residing in either London or China.

either way their not replying in English to my emails.

erm forgive my ignorance but what is it? solar panels I get, what do they power
john

I use it to charge our eBikes....they are bikes that have a motor to assist uphill riding... don't use EHU much (Electric hook up) so depend on Solar charges....;)
