We're well into the post Brexit period and lots of us are travelling to/from France.
We've been over three times this year and not once has there been any interest at the French or UK border in the amount of wine/beer/spirits we have on board.
Yes, the Border Force people have come inside the vehicle and looked in our shower, cupboards and even under our cycle carrier cover for migrants.
But not a mention/question about alcoholic drinks.
We have kept religiously below the allowed amount of wine (24 x 75cl bottles each), etc. Honest!
As Calais Wine Superstore has reopened recently we were just thinking........
Yes, of course I know what the penalties are for importing more than your allowance but....
Is this a case of "not interested" or "not enough staff" at the UK border?
Has anyone been checked for the amount of wines/beers/spirits at either a French departure port of and English arrival port?
