We're well into the post Brexit period and lots of us are travelling to/from France.
We've been over three times this year and not once has there been any interest at the French or UK border in the amount of wine/beer/spirits we have on board.
Yes, the Border Force people have come inside the vehicle and looked in our shower, cupboards and even under our cycle carrier cover for migrants.
But not a mention/question about alcoholic drinks.
We have kept religiously below the allowed amount of wine (24 x 75cl bottles each), etc. Honest!

As Calais Wine Superstore has reopened recently we were just thinking........
Yes, of course I know what the penalties are for importing more than your allowance but....
Is this a case of "not interested" or "not enough staff" at the UK border?

Has anyone been checked for the amount of wines/beers/spirits at either a French departure port of and English arrival port?

No checks for fridge on Dover Calais boat. No checks on tunnel on way back.

Border Force are responsible for immigrarion checks. Customs are responsible for goods and tariffs.

So what is your point? Border Force did their check for persons.

Are you just miffed that if you had known their were no UK Customs checks you would have brought loads more booze?

No, the point of my post was to ask if any other forum members had been checked for booze recently.
As nobody has said they have then there seems to be little interest by Customs in doing so.

Last trip in June 27 cases of wine... no problem, looking forward to the Sept trip
