How far is it into town from there please Paul?

About 2.5 miles Debs, too far to walk, no bus service, cycling fine in 15 to 20 mins or taxi a tenner.
Or take your van in depending on size.

Ta for that, it's about the same distance as the site at the showground by the sound of it.

Is there a public footpath to Harrogate from the site , do you know , please.
Or is it all on the local roads?

@Debs last time I stayed at the site which was adjacent to the show ground. Farm shop (expensive but nice) next door and Sainsgogs plus bus stop into town a short walk at the end of the road. Recommended (y)

Local roads all the way. Lovely footpaths from the site, you can exercise dogs in the adjoining field providing no livestock are in. It's been perfect this weekend for that.

Yes, we stayed there David in 2015?, it's the old Camc site isn't it. Really nice couple were running it.

Think there's a pub over the other side of the overflow parking(walking distance) but we didn't try it.

Best place for proximity to Harrogate is Bilton Park Village Farm when there is a DA meet on.

Great walks in Nidd Gorge and equi-distant twixt Knaresborough and Harrogate.

The Gardners Arms is a proper York stone floored pub selling Sam Smiths, just down the lane.

 that's gone up a lot since we stayed Ken!
For two nights I wasn’t bothered. In the grand scheme of things it fitted because it was close to the F4 Phantom simulator, shops and the bus into town. Yes, I could pay less but I went for convenience and would stay there again. For the convenience
