Have heard of a couple of dealers requiring van for a week for the habitation check. Van to stand for72 hours after drop off to decontaminate. Collection can be earlier than 72 hours after work but presumably at customers risk. Anyone heard of this becoming a general requirement

I imagine it will vary between dealers. Local car service is still a day with sanitising taking place. I don't know why they need it a week. Get a price first as some dealers are jumping on the robbery wagon just like the C&MC etc.

Yep. highbridge were saying something about 72 hours standing time.

Is that the same as waiting to go into shop?

Have just seen on the ASOC website that various Autosleepers dealers are sanitising vans on arrival avoiding any quarantine period. They did say one unnamed dealer was including an extra charge for this. Have a habitation check booked for 9 July but no communication for dealer so far.. will see

My man comes to the storage site, sanitises himself, does the job with gloves on then sanitises again before he leaves. Hour and a half max, no extra charges.
Last week I had the vehicle service done and gain, sanitised before and after, no problems. 2 hours and I drove away.

My van has just been into Brownhills for some warranty work, no quarantine time required.

You are asked to take all personal items off the van. When you drop it off they sanitise it using a fogging machine.

They then do the same once the work is finished before you collect it.

Habitation check at Marquis next week. Had email from them asking me to remove all cushions, and everything else out of the van and sanitize it before dropping off and collecting 5 hours later. Clear instructions.
