Hab door dead

We were just about to leave this morning when Jane reported the central locking on the hab door isn’t working.

Testing says the connector here:

Isn’t getting any voltage when the van locks and unlocks.

I have these two connectors in the door jamb.

The top one is constantly at 10v and I think is connected to a sensor on the top latch (red and black wires in the image above. That sensor is also at 10v so I think the bottom one is the lock control. It doesn’t change when I lock or unlock.

I guess this all implies a fuse blown but I can’t find anything blown or labeled as central locking, habitation sort etc in English or German.

Any ideas for something else to try?

Mine stops working occasionally and all I do is clean and rough up a bit those sensors - they need a good connection.

We have the same contacts mechanism on our van. We also find we need to clean them occasionally to keep them working. When this didn't work and the door stopped locking, I took the contacts off the door side (RH side in your picture) and found one of the thin wires on the back of the contact had broken off. Stripped it back and reconnected. All good since.

Most of those solenoids work with just a short pulse you might not see it on a digital meter worth trying with an anoulgue meter to see if it is getting a pulse.
The fuse will be on the Merc system but a lot of can bus stuff rely on electronic or ptc protection.

I find the wires behind the door jamb contacts are often suspect.

…and before I could get those contacts out, it started working again. That definitely implies a bad contact or loose wire.
