This is the worst van I've had for this. The slightest beeeze and crash it shuts. This time over the fly screen which stopped us opening it from the inside. Had to exit the driver's door.
So what do you do?

We have a similar issue but have stopped using the wing mirror as we found the bungee was rubbing on the rubber door seals of the hab door. Now use a ground sheet peg as a ground anchor to change the angle and prevent rubbing.

I have the same issue & my door is near the rear of the van. I've tried using a bungy around the wheel to the door-handle but kept forgetting it when I tried to shut the door.

That looks great though, where did you get it from please?

You will need a small bungee as well, might get one at one of the shows

The loop of paracord solution
You need 2.5m of Paracord
In this case (Hymer/Sprinter base) the loop is exactly 82"
(It will take a few goes you work out the length, as it needs to be loose enough to loop over, but tight enough not to come off)

I drilled through the door catch, useless thing, and now put a small screwdriver through the hole. Easy, works, and takes a few minutes to do.

Brilliant! So simple yet so effective. I wish I’d thought of it when we had that van.

I fitted these on our Eura Mobil tried replacement plastic catches, but the don't last long, after the hab door slammed and locked, and the garage door cracked my head both doors had new catches. 😎 Bob.
