Grrrrr ruined my Sunday Morning ,,,

So going out for a Motorcycle ride 8:30am , but as i cant use my nasty neighbours drive way which he shares with me i have to move my Motorhome 4m partially out of the driveway for 2 minutes over the pavement with just back wheels in the road only to get my bike out of garage ,, As I did this a Guy from DVLA and a policeman walk over and slap a UNTAXED sticker on my van ,which is SORN until 1st May ,, I push the bike out and put van back in drive way ,, I politely ask them what they are doing and the cop is very rude and aggressive and suggests he may arrest me as I am a arsehole ??? ,, the DVLA bloke is sheepish and apologetic and the neighbour has come out sniggering and laughing .... I am very very pissed off now ,, ruined my day ... Not going for a ride now too unsettled ,,, One of my other neighbours a fellow biker has a video with sound as he says its ridiculous ....and he too has had problems with the twit at number 13....he also told methat 2 more cops were waiting out of sight , Its almost as if they had set it up ?? The police officer was really offensive im hoping my mates video has good sound quality .

Can only suggest that if you had done this regularly the neighbour might have forewarned them, but I am surprised DVLA had someone working on a Sunday let alone that early.

Is it a regular habit to go for ride on Sunday mornings I can't see the DVLA and police hanging around just in case someone went out or have you had an argument with the neighbour about the driveway? It does sound very strange do you sometimes leave the motorhome on the road while you're out on the bike?

But why didn't DVLA look at their own website and see that it was sorned.
Ok I'm sorry while writing that I realise you had put it on the road which you can't do while sorned, but how the hell did they know you were going to move it just at that time, have they sat there for days?

Because its parked on my driveway been on Sorn for 8 months . only have to move it 4metres to get bikes out ,, and only rear wheels touch the road ....get bike out and then put Motorhome all the way back in driveway ,,,,

Report the copper for aggressive and unwarranted behaviour.
You have all the proof you need....the footage.
As for the neighbour.....park your car partly across his entrance, see how quick the police arrived then.

I am out on the bikes often , but van is only rear wheels on road for 2 minutes and then fully back in driveway .......

The police should also have a bodycam to show what was said and done before the video was taken. The police response will be judged over what was said when they turned up.

Must admit I find it a little unusual that 3 cops and a DVLA officer are hanging around your address at 8.30 on a Sunday morning on the off chance that you go for a bike ride unless of course you do this every Sunday and as you seem to suggest your neighbour has dobbed you in

But get ready for a decent fine, £30 plus twice the taxable value of vehicle

Interestingly the fine is more if you’ve SORNed the vehicle than if it isn’t SORNed

Wow! You couldn't make it up, bloody ridiculous. You probably need to make an official complaint, as you say, hoping the video is valid.

I have had issues with the neighbour for months His newly raised driveway is illegal as it drains directly onto my side and he closed his drains, he also directed his refurbished garden drains onto my side so its always getting flooded and covered in mud ,, if i as much as step on his side he gets angry so I cant push my bikes out ,, The deeds say driveway is share d but he does not care , he has erected 4 cameras to monitor the drive way, my garage and also the gardens .

I have made a formal complaint to council and they saty he should have had building permission for what he has done ,,, but they also told me Its a private matter and they wont take legal action ..

In Truth I wish i had never moved here , its a lovely area in Cotswolds , but I have had 2 years of bad luck, accidents, mental breakdown , bad experiences, bad health and mistakes by NHS . legal problems and abuse from all and sundry, all because I just trying to be a good Dad. and I really dont know what to do now .. I Only bought house here to retire and help out my youngest daughter in her career , but its all been very manipulative , toxic and abusive by her too, She is now in London so Im stuck in a home that is not a home , with no friends , and not feeling part of things round here and under siege ,,,and its cost me a lot of money .. Its been made very clear to me by old friends and my brother that all of this would not have happened if I had not moved to here , had not supported my daughter and had retired overseas as planed or stayed in Sussex .

I am a person who likes to help people , a mentor, problem solver and friend and usually very sociable but now .... I just dont know Im feeling very empty and disillusioned

Some days it seem life just aint worth living ,,,

What you need to ask yourself is how is this S—THEAD getting the police to waste good police time over something so trivial, I feel your pain, W—KERS like him have no place in a decent society.

In the long term, you need to start planning to move house.

In the short term you could move into the motorhome for the summer and travel.

Maybe seriously look at moving most of your stuff out of the house and rent it out for a year or so whilst you decide what to do next.

I'm sure there is a Heavy Rock band attached to the local Chapter of the Hells Angels, who are nice lads really once you get to know them who would be happy to rent the house for a year, as long as the garden is long enough for the axe throwing competitions and the drive is big enough for a dozen large motorbikes.

Even if your neighbour has reported it, for them to take action is almost unbelievable.

You need to step back and take a really deep breath.

You are as much of the problem here as your neighbour is.

Just relax, concentrate on yourself and realise that neighbours , police etc don’t really matter, but you do.
