Can anyone recommend a GRP repair place. My friends were hit by an HGV leading to 2 punctures on the lower skirt where the truck pushed the skirt against the under carriage. The bits are all there but badly cracked and flaking. They are coming back with us to the U.K. in 3 weeks for a wedding and were hoping to get the repairs done whilst in the U.K. The Motorhome is a Phoenix at 3.9m high. It will need filled and painted.
The accident happened whilst the HGV driver was on his phone. It was low speed impact so could have been a lot worse.

Can recommend Go Solent Motorhome Repairs if you're down in Dorset.

Speak to Mike or Whatsapp him with pics.

If the Phoenix is anything other than white there is a fair chance that it is painted anyway so it really just needs a good fibreglass repair rather than just a bit of filler and then painting, I have heard good report of DMR next door to Premium.

Hope so have mine in with Mike beginning of May for a few repairs sustained in Croatia 😳😳
He gave me a very competitive price to what my local one quoted, they were recommended by Southdowns but as the van is in with Premium for 3-4 days warranty work thought easier to get both sorted at once😁😁

Always some very good GRP specialists near marinas the like. What is best about it is that they have a pretty fast turn around and used to working on Million pound floating palaces. Every boat yard has a few on speed dial

Some of the owners manage to crash the cheaper yachts as well. Regularly in some cases.

Often a good idea to ask at local sailing clubs as well. The sailing boats are GRP these days.

Thanks, that was my first port of call. Unfortunately, they can only manage vehicles up to a height of 3.4m. I remember when Mike first set up his business, he was recommended to me after someone took a key down all 4 sides of my new Swift Bel Air back in 2001. The plan and price was for a repaint of the Motorhome. I was pleasantly surprised to get a call the day after drop off to be told to come and collect my Motorhome. He had been able to buff the scratches out. Great company, looks like our challenge is going to be the height.

The GRP repair was completed today and a perfect job. The quote from DMR in Doncaster was £4200 + VAT and next appointment was in July, they would have needed my friends van left with them for 3 weeks. Repair was completed by Norscot Body Repair in Perth, Scotland. The job was delivered on Monday and took 2 days to complete at a cost of £1420 +VAT and £18 environmental charge. Absolutely perfect job, you would not know the panel had been repaired and painted. Their spray booth can take 15m x 5m vehicles. They deal in trucks mainly, highly recommended.
