I have a Rapido 8094 df 2019, looking at proper immobiliser, tracker / alarm system that just "works" an all in one.

Vanbitz seems to be the dogs, can anyone advise on what systems they have fitted/recommend, how long to fit, rough costs etc.

Im in Merseyside but am due a trip out , its been a week or so now ;)

thanks Revolvor I will talk it through with them and they do seem a decent set up, but I was also hoping for specific MH fun recommends, advice from the mouth of real world users.

For comments on standards of workmanship, installation, service, check out the reviews here on Fun

General current pricing see the Vanbitz website or call them which will be more accurate than anything we know from our older visits.

I have Stikeback plus (a couple of extras such as more LEDs.) and metatrak immobiliser. Been great for the last three years and the accessory loop for the bike on rear is really useful. Love the metatrack so easy to control from phone app.

Growler, it’s not just the alarm and tracker functionality, it’s the 4 high vis LEDs which activate when alarm is set, works as a deterrent, the 5 sirens which will burst any scrotes earsdrums if they actually gain access to the inside and the Tracker app that lets you monitor the van whilst you are away from it. It’s worth the trip down to Taunton which includes a free night in their own camp site.

Yes Rob, we have a similar system but with the growler. First class company

Just spoken to Phantom…guy wasn’t much help and said that we have to pay for the tracker before he will contact a local fitter…so can’t say how long until fitment 🤷‍♀️

Growler / Non Starter total peace of mind that I can do no more.

Plus, we are in Turkey at the moment, had a slight issue with the Metatrak Non Starter app not doing what it should. No normal phone coverage so emailed Metatrak Support at about 6pm. Had an immediate response via email to clarify the issue. Woke up the next morning to another email asking me to check my app - all sorted. Brilliant service.

I am sure you could arrange a specific fitter if you wanted to, I chose my dealer and it was all fitted and working before I left their premises, it didn't affect the vehicle warranty and I didn't have to travel hundreds of miles to get it done, no flashing lights advertising what system is fitted and all very discreet, alerts have been within seconds of me triggering something so suits me (y)

I personally like flashing lights. In my mind it says to the scumbag "Try that van over there. It's easier to nick than mine" And as for alerts, that fine if your very near the van. If your miles away I like the Non Starter function.

I get the lights thing but don’t want them all the same, as far as I know ours won’t start either and if it did I would get an alert and they would/could stop it, I suppose you never really know until somebody tries😏

I had the growler and tracker fitted only last week ,within a week a getting our brand new Motorhome. The growler is the business and they are a great business, email them for info and they’ll give you a detailed personal reply or and look at their website. Oh and as someone has mentioned mention your funsters discount at the start , I think it’s the only discount they give.

I think the lights are a great thing,,if some scrote wanted to nick it,as much noise and attention drawing has to be a good thing, along with bleeding ear drums from what I’ve heard👍

We had one fitted on our elegance by vanbitz on Thursday along with lithium b2b and inverter and I can’t rate them highly enough.

Growler with extra LED’s and MetaTrak non starter and Tracker ! Great set up and service from Vanbitz ! Had an issue where I park the MH down the side of the house where the signal struggled to activate the system from my phone so MetaTrak have supplied (free of charge) a fob that I can use to activate/deactivate the system if the phone signal is interrupted . The App on the phone is great easy to use and lets you know your battery health
