Hi i know this has probably been discussed before looked in tank today and it's a bit yuk in there have seen on some posts that people use citric acid but how much do you put in a 90ltr tank to clean or is there any other degreaser that I could use .

I use caustic soda. Wear gloves it will eat anything organic, including you. Be careful where you dump it.

Put a crumbled up dishwasher tab down the plug hole with a gallon of hot water, go for a drive and drain the water out, it will be ghastly 🤢🤮

I use grey tank cleaner, Fenwicks or Thetford. If it’s really horrid tip the whole lot in, plus a lot of water, maybe at least half full. Go for a drive. Leave overnight and drain.
Every spring I clean the fresh tank with puriclean. When emptying that I let most of it go into the waste tank and leave it a bit before draining.
I also now, on a nearly five year old van, but the instructed dose of Thetford grey tank cleaner down the drain before leaving home, with no water. Just to prevent any smells. Obviously it gets drained first time grey tank is drained, but seems to work.

will that also damage the plastic tank ??

No, it comes in a plastic bottle albeit a powder. It will attack aluminium but doubt there is any in your tank. The rods will be stainless steel. Do not leave in more than a day.
