What a load of tosh! It is so pedantic, you have to enter details in the exact form it wants, but gives no help as to what that form is. When you come to fill in your partners's form, it says you can't open another form. It refused to allow a second attempt at a phone number which was a correction, saying it was invalid. No it wasn't. I had to start again, and enter the same number which it accepted. Added to the fact that we've just paid for a couple of tests in France, repeated by unnecessary 2 and 8 day tests (we've both been double jabbed), plus the tests we had to get out there, it does not make you feel goodwill towards our (unprintable) Government. Talk about making you jump through hoops!

I have found a lot of government IT is not user friendly. Unlike commercial companies they know we have no choice so they don't make the effort and of course the uncivil servants don't care.

Still struggling to get the wife's NHS App to accept her ID in order to access her vaccination record. Uploaded passport but now they want a video of her showing or quoting 4 pre-selected numbers. Tried on and off for a week or more but keep giving up. The other ID options they suggest are a no go as we don't have the info. Looks like I'll be going away alone.

We ordered a paper one on line, came in three days👍

Us too, but it would be nice to have it on her phone as well.

So true - today I opened an account at a bank I've never used. Filled in name and address etc, photo of passport, video of myself saying a few words. Took just minutes- bank card on its way (y)

Bailey 58 we had same problem, downloaded one for me but cant download one for hubby cos we share same contract but two phones, but sent off for paper ones and got them in time,….. not going anywhere now tho cos flight cancelled

Probably confirmation that Covid vaccinated does not mean either you cannot catch it, or carry it.

I think we're there at last, still had to go through the same rigmarole on the laptop this time but it seems to have worked.

To make life easy tried to register an account to have form filled in before filing, disaster. It asks for phone number so put in home one and then it says they will send sms message... except my phone does not accept sms! Tried to use the mobile and now I get "an account already exists" with my e mail. Tried a different e mail and again it didn't work.
Now I have used both e mails and still cannot register an account!
Am I alone!!

Can you start the Passenger Locator forms off whilst still in the UK and then finish them off in the 72 hours before your return back to the UK?

You can if you register an account but that is where my problems started. It is free to register just be really careful especially with phone number etc

Yes, I have started one, part completed and saved for later when I will complete it within 48hrs of returning from 'over there'. I used my mobile phone number because they'll be contacting me 'over there' (sending the QR code) by text or email.

getting the vacination proof is just as hard, unless you phone.... but then on hold for ages. so back to on line. Fill form in. get one letter wrong- start again. managed to register. Then wanted proof of identity- take photo of passport and upload to site. ok, done- then it came back and asked for [I kid you not] a 'short video of yourself reciting a number of letters we give you' . WTF! At that point I gave up and went back to the phone - luckily as a welsh speaker I got through to NHS Wales and it was all done in a matter of minutes- and then we had a good laugh about the NHS [England] cack-handed system. She said that 90% of the calls she received were from people who had given up on the website.

Both my wife and I downloaded the NHS App shortly after having our second vaccinations in May. We already had the NHS Covid19 App and we both were registered with Patient Access App which gives us access to our Doctors for history, appointments medication requests etc, so very similar to the NHS App. We only downloaded the latter because our Patient Access App did not give the vaccination passport, only the fact we had had them with details.

I don't recall having to send any proof of UK Passport but may have entered passport numbers & definitely did not recite any words onto a video. It was all pretty straight forward but I do recall it recognising we were registered with the Doctor & other App I think. I've just checked to make sure I can access the Vaccination Passport and yes it is all there, should we ever need to use it. I was surprised when a friend told me he had to do the passport & video thing the other day, but he does not use the Patient access app either so perhaps that was the link for us not needing it as we were already identified via the Doctors surgery?

I'd be keen to learn from anyone in the know why the difference?

I phoned 119 ten days ago to get my NHS proof of vaccination PASS letter. The phone was answered within less than a minute. I was asked my name, address, DOB and NHS number. It all took less than 5 minutes. The letter/certificate arrived by post 6 days later. A doddle.

Ive git my letters of proof
but find all the tests and passenger location bewildering its because im quite a numbskull with technology

'short video of yourself reciting a number of letters we give you' Really makes me worried that if you give them that info they can potentially use systems like Sigard to identify and track you. This country is seriously starting to worry me.

Got our covid paper pass , can you also get it on your phone via the app , also do you get the qr code when you apply via the app .
