I can't fix the inverter that I blew whilst connecting a battery. I know, I'll use a breaker in future. :)
The one I blew is a 1500w modified sine wave branded Mercury, and all the fuses and capacitors seem to be ok.
I'm thinking of buying this one from Amazon to ride me over until I sort out my solar next summer. What do you guys think - does it appear to be a good choice?
Amazon product ASIN B07GRJ2BK8

looks good to me as long as you don't need anything that requires pure sine wave?

Probably blown a MOSFET. I fixed one once by replacing them all with equivalents. That was years ago though when they were like 800 quid ?

At the moment I only use an inverter for hair clippers, a small suction cleaner, a computer printer, a juicer and things like that. I'll probably base my comms corner of things like a Raspberry Pi, and they are all 12 volt or USB powered. I've got a 12 volt TV as well.

A blown MOSFET seems to be the most likely problem, and I looked at a few videos about it. It seems you have to remove them from the board to test them, and you can't do it with a standard multi-meter. That's starting to get beyond my knowledge of electronics.
