It arrived the other day and really would love it for France.

What sort of mechanic should I approach to fit it a petrol head or a radio style shop?

Ideas please?

Personally I'd go for the latter John :Err:

Give JSW a shout, I bet he's fitted one!

i was going to do that at the meeting in sept but now i will be in the usa it seems, it is quite an easy job if you are handy with jobs etc.

we had repairs done to our manual crank up sysyem & he was an arial installer, did a great job samm

My delivery times are similar. I ordered one for a customer today and it will be with them by Wednesday latest (they assure me).

Im not in direct competition with odb. I sell things they dont and visa versa. Only difference with me is I specialise in one area.

I've tried to be discreet with my "advertising", but I got drawn into conversation on this one! Apologies if anyones offended.

BTW:- W Tony is your a sequential set up?

Dont worry I am not offended:Wink:

6 hours to fit it:Eek!:(only paying for 2:Wink:)

Took him ages to work out centrally where to fit it them wanted to plumb it into the old system.

Anyway done:BigGrin:

Picked Irina up after shopping in Swansea 3 hours late (trouble you bet!!!):Frown:

BTW:- do they come with operating instructions? cant find any:Confused:

Yep they come with operating instructions. If you can't find them, let me know and I can arrange for you to receive some.

6 hours is horrendus... it takes me 2 hours max!

Irina was livid i know but somehow kept her cool  then I saw all the shopping:Frown:and this is before we hit France.

Simple Instruction:

Find North with your compass. Set the outer ring to point to north. Then wind dish up until at about 24 degrees. Then turn dish so the arrow points within the yellow astra2 band. Hopefully a picture will appear, if not, alter elevation and scan again. Be logical with your search. When you get a suitable picture, move to little locking lever over to the lock position.

Job done. After a few times, you should have it down to under a minute! Fantastic bit of kit.

maybe we need some training here but even with a compass & basic sat finder we can be searching for ages...arguments and stress....all to watch eastenders!! is it worth it hhee hhee
seriously though depends on your suroundings how quick it'll lock on,but generally takes around ten mins.although has been known to take an hour, not good for the blood pressure..well worth it though in the end....good luck...sammx

You must be using a sly digibox... only that would make the job harder due to its delayed signal meter.
