Notice yesterday that Google maps has at last given us the speed limit indication that we have been waiting for. Now the speed limit sits alongside the actual speed.

My car sat nav does but not sure about Gmaps, I was being driven by my granddaughter when I spotted it. No I wasn't keeping an eye on her speed..Does it give a warning chime when you exceed the speed limit?
I was checking it with her speed and it was approx. 3mph below her indicated speed. The American software in my E-Class doesn't show speed limits. I guess it's because they don't want to get sued by me if the limit is subsequently changed and I get a fine!
That is about the same difference I get between motorhome speedo and GPS speed. Over reading speedos seem standard.I was checking it with her speed and it was approx. 3mph below her indicated speed.
Not sure if we have a bit of irony going on here but I often have no idea what the speed limit is especially when approaching speed cameras. How useful is that. How often are you on a road where you don't know the speed limit.
It's excellent... when accurately mapped. How useful is that. How often are you on a road where you don't know the speed limit.
Quite often in France I see the end of the 70 limit when I haven't seen the start of it.How useful is that. How often are you on a road where you don't know the speed limit.
Waze also works on Car Play and does display the two speeds with an optional warning tone if the speed limit is exceeded. I prefer Google for navigation but Waze is ok. I think Apple Car Play and Android Auto are the future, not sure separate navigation devices will be so popular a few years on.I use google all the time now on iPhone via Car play and it’s very good . Use it for work , up and down the country all the time. Sadly as mentioned above it only shows the speed limit on iPhone version , not the actual speed of the vehicle , but I’m sure it will come eventually
