Might have to spend a week or two near Dorchester, Dorset for our son to do work experience so looking for good overnight parking &/or campsites near there please? Ideally a site with toilets & showers (easier with 3 of us in a 6m motorhome!) for most of the time but overnight parking for a night or two would be good too. Budget options like a CL & nearby leisure centre or pool with showers also an option.

C&CC Moreton is just a few minutes from Dorchester. Usual showers/loos.
Station right outside the site gets you to Dorchester in about 10 minutes.
Pub next door to site,
There's also a CC site just up the road but ive not stayed there.

Moreton is a spacious site but no hard standings. Usual C & CC standards. The Frampton Arms is right next door to the site and serves good food - but check opening times as it is not open all day. Moreton station is five minutes walk and trains run frequently to Dorchester, Weymouth, Poole and Bournemouth and, apart from Bournemouth, the railway stations are almost in the town centres.
I live in Dorchester and have stayed several times at Moreton just to enjoy being in the van! Sad aren't I!

This is owned by a member, but is up for sale...

About 2 miles from Dorchester...

Not sure if he is still a member and if he is still trading.. worth a phone call..

Cannot for the life of me remember his name...

Cook an awesome meal to order.. (y)

Not open till Easter.:(

Broken Link Removed

Or my drive way, or a 2 bedroomed bungalow "Free"...

But would mean a three quarter to an hour`s drive to Dorchester each day.. (y)

It's currently up for sale, but still showing the CL sign. It's nearer 5 miles NW of Dorchester on an easy road. Hope it helps.

I think he was Mr Jinks

Thank you everyone for the suggestions (y) Very kind offer from old-mo but we all have been known to sleep through alarms so need to be as close as possible in case of a last minute dash - hence not driving to Dorchester from Somerset every day!

They must have up-dated, we stayed there last year on a hard-standing.
Nice easy train ride into Dorchester.
