We recently visited York and stopped at a very good BritStop about seven miles out.
The Landlady, Lisa made us very welcome and allowed us to stay the next day and night while we caught the bus just outside into York and had a very good day. We told her that we were members of MotorhomeFun and would she accept other members and she said yes she was more than happy if they telephoned first to check that she had room.
We ate in the pub both nights and were very glad we did. Especially the second night which was a Tuesday and steak night. So two steak meals with a free bottle of wine for £25.
The Wenlock Arms, 73 Main St, Wheldrake, York YO19 6AA.

We stopped there a couple of years back. Spent a fortune in the pub and twatted the van on the buttress wall in the car park. It was probably the dearest couple of nights camping we've ever made.

Not really Lisa's fault that you could'nt steer properly unless she sold you too much beer. But the food and beer was good for us and SWMBO (Judy) always gets out to check when we manoeuvre in tight spaces. It's then her fault if I hit something.
Yes cost us £50 for two nights stop with two good free meals thrown in for free.
The important thing is that she is happy for FUN members to stop there. Perhaps @Jim could send her a sticker to remind her about FUN.
