Heading for Armação tomorrow and I’m sure I read somewhere there is a good Indian restaurant there or somewhere along the coast.

As we live in France it would be a real treat to find one Any suggestions pls?

Mr. Singh’s at Gale apparently but we didn’t make it.frequented by the ‘stars’.

The Holi Diwali in Sagres is excellent, but not near
Armação unfortunately.

Armacão de Pera...

The Bollywood Restaurant just across from Pedros, by the roundabout right by where many motorhomes park.

I always used to recommend the Indian Hut in Alvor, but not any more. Went there a few weeks ago and it was awful. Food, service, ambience and decor all very poor now. We will not be back.

Heard good things from others about the Bollywood that JJ recommends. Armacao is a nice seaside town.

Thanks all. Looking forward to a few days at Armacao and will definitely try the Bollywood - thanks for map @JJ. Thought you would be able to help as you’re practically a native .
Thanks for the warning about the India Hut as well as Alvor is probably on our list of places to see.

Bollywood at AdP is ok, but nothing special, can be a bit hit and miss.
As above, Mr.Singh on the road to Gale is always excellent. And it’s walkable from the aire at Vale de Para.

I was really annoyed about the Indian Hut.:cry:

My wife does not like curry so I am only allowed to play my curry card once per holiday. I wasted mine on the Indian Hut when I could have used it at at least 3 other Indian restaurants in Alvor, or the Bollywood at Armacao, when we were there the week before Alvor.

Well after asking the question, we were all set to go to Bollywood but we got 'kidnapped' by my cousin and dragged off into the hills for a couple of days instead. However, we did eventually have a really exquisite curry at a restaurant in the cobbled square in Sintra. It was sooooo utterly delicious we went two days running (to make up for the missed Bollywood as well) and then slept it off parked up under the trees in the square.
We are determined to return and test the Bollywood next time though.
