good afternoon may I take this opportunity to thank the members for their insights as I was looking to buy a Auto-trail Grand Frontier

Welcome from Ciren! (y)
Look at as many ‘vans as you can with a fixed bed, and then see what (might!) suit you best…..

Are you near any dealers…….?

:welcomesign:Just a thought but you only get 5 posts as a non member, pay the subs to join and you'll get a vast amount of help and advice, and don't waste one of your 5 posts on thank you's, there's a "like" option for that. (y)

Edit: I see you've found it. :giggle:

The grand frontier was never a popular van when they made it first time and the new version of it didn't seem to get good reviews. Poor payload seemed an issue as well.

Personally I would look at more popular and common models.
Hymer, rapido, Burstner, etc

Now see you have had a Pilote much better. 👍

Dont forget the older Niesman Bischoffs, as good as you ever got on the Ducato Chassis and a good 2nd hand buy

Don t forget to check double glazed cab windows though.

Welcome David

My own experience of motorhome ownership is this, in 2018 we purchased a brand new Autotrail Comanche, lovely van tbh and it looked after us pretty well for 3 years until I got the A class itch.

Autotrail at that time we’re on the brink of launching their new A class, the GF88 and we went over to Grimsby for a pre launch look at it. First impressions were it was very caravanny and not as good as our Comanche.

We went to look at our now owned Rapido i1090 A class and yes it was £16k more but it’s £160k better build quality/layout.

We’ve yet to use it in anger across the water but hoping that changes come Sept.

Would I have another Autotrail? I suppose I would yes if I couldn’t afford anything better but fortunately I can and this Rapido is head and shoulders better in every respect.

Good luck in your search 👍

There is a 3 axle Flair on the N+B Facebook page, 06 plate 2.8 Fiat £36500.

It might be advertised somewhere else as well but not sure.

Everything is in short supply at the moment. By older N&B I mean 10 years plus, sadly the newer stuff isnt as good along with many other manufacturers, although some is just as crap as it ever was.
