Apart from the Royal College of Anaesthetists (RCoA) I don't think anyone has done more to consign the gassing of motorhomers to the myth category than me.

In one or two of the many gassing threads we have a here, there have been a couple of mentions of the Bolivian Ghost Rapes, I saw this mentioned again a month or so ago so started to investigate a little further. The men were supposed to have gassed entire families before raping women and children. The women had vague recollections of the crimes and some thought they were being raped by gods. The thing that puzzled me was that a 2011court report actually mentioned the drug they used; it was a veterinary use spray for sedating cattle and made from the Belladonna plant. I've little doubt that they used a spray. The vet was jailed for supplying it. But did the spray work?

The 2011 trial of the vet, pre-dates the advice given by the RCoA so I assume they were aware of it. I've written to them twice now asking about Belladonna used in a spray as a sedative and if they still stand by their 2014 statement. But have as yet not had a reply. I'll keep pestering them till we get an answer.

I heard some alleged gassings we're done using solvents placed near heating intake vents. Apparently truck drivers who overnight and leave their heating on have claimed they were gassed and then woke up feeling very groggy to find the trailer curtains slashed and the load gone.
Given the smallish volume of air in a truck cab, I think it might very well be possible even if it's just enough to ensure the driver stays asleep.

Better than having to tack a few punches to make it look good when you’re load gets “stolen”

Can’t identify anyone either, convenient when interviewed by the police ?

a night heater has two inlets the one thats out side goes to the flame and then straight back out via the exhaust the other inlet is within the cab or the heater would be heating the whole world so that is complete tosh

I assume RCoA would have to test it or gather data on a human subject in a van/cab type space to make a fully informed judgement. They probably though would/will have to extrapolate the data from testing or use on large mammals in a van/cab type space, so the question is, is there any such data??

If confirmed will the spray be available in the Fun online shop? Can I order it anonymously and use POBox thanks .

For those of you fluent in ancient gallic using an accent from Southern Brittany the words "Gas" and "Incident" sound very similar to "Insurance" and "Scam".

It's really difficult to see how a Belladonna spray could adequately sedate without killing. Although Belladona does contain scopolamine(hyoscine) , the main active ingredient is atropine which is very toxic and not really sedating, quite the opposite. You can use it to speed the heart up if someone has a significant bradycardia. To counteract atropine poisoning you can use drugs like pyridostigmine so it doesn't really make sense Jim. Scopolamine is used to treat nausea and vomiting , high doses can cause amnesia but I wonder how much of it is rubbish journalism like here?
