I’ve just fitted a gas it refillable system, I have a few questions.
Can I now just go to any garage and fill it up?
Should the bottle outlets be open or closed?
Is it the norm to spray with a gas leak tester the first time you fill up?
Cheers.

Yes you can normally fill up at any garage, occasionally you get refused (more lightly if you don't have an external filler), if you do just go to the next one.

Best to close the valves as slight possibility of damaging the regulator with them open. OK open in theory as fill pressure is way below the max the regulator can handle.

Yes important to check for leaks after install, I use a Honywell gas sniffer about £30 always carry it in the van.

Thanks for that info. I’ll close them and fill then.
Where would I get a sniffer or something similar. Wicked, b&q etc or plumbing specialist.

Use the apps 'MyLPG' or 'FILL LPG' to locate suppliers. Note that you will pay less at gas companies than garages as garages sell it as an automotive fuel which carries a higher rate of VAT than gas suppliers who sell it for domestic heating/cooking.

Cheers on all points. I’ve put a tenner in and checked, couple of points required tightening after smelling the gas and using spray tester.
Seems fine now, I’ll do a complete fill in a couple o days n test again. I’ll be investing ina sniffer for peace of mind.
Thanks again.
