Hi can anyone recommend a gas BBQ that will plug into the Rollerteam external gas connection. I have looked at lots of different types on line but a lot of them are designed to run straight off the gas bottle as they have their own regulators. I need one that runs off the already regulated supply that is coming out the external bbq connection point.

Almost all can, like the Webers, you remove the 1/4 inch BSP fitting between the bbq and regulator and put a QC connector on, then put a QC connector on the regulator connector so you can use that if you want to use a bottle instead of the van.

Bsaically it's a DIY job. Cadacs come with a QC connector on the low pressure models underneath pre-fitted, but it's a job of two spanners to fit one to near any Weber.

Should add though, fitting QC connectors to gas pipe is a quite time consuming thing, we ended up replacing our BBQ -> Regulator pipe with a more flexible one as the hard plastic used in the Weber -> regulator pipe made fitting a QC end ... tricky.

The BBQ end is easy, as it's just a metal fitting. Warning, do not use any of the white tape stuff on the brass BSP gas fittings, not needed, just make sure tight and not leaking when you unscrew the existing pipe.

I use the cadac but due to location of fitting felt too close to van for comfort, also worth noting if using a longer tube pressure poor, my findings only, reverted back to a bottle which can go where needed

I have fitted a 3 metre hose to our Cadac Cook 2 and have not noted and lose of flame hight at the burners.
Gas pipework on MH's can run 4 or 5 metre from the gas cylinders without lose of pressure to appliances, so why would it do so on a bbq ?

Look at Campingaz cookers . they are cheaper than Cadac and do exactly the same job. We have the large Campingaz attitude 2100LX.......Well worth it for us. As regards the Cadac Cook 2 pro etc

look at the Campingaz 2 grill and go on the right.......... 25 pounds cheaper!

We had a Cadac BBQ which plugged straight in to the van. Our Cadac Cook 2 does the same although its not a BBQ, it has a griddle plate which works for us as its less messy.
...and the flat plate does a superb sear on a steak!

(And also fits over the gas hob inside when I need to toast bread!)

I'd vote for the Cadac suitcase!

Really easy to clean, less than a minute to set up, takes no space to store. Really well designed.

I've seen both, and having used the Cadac, the burner design is excellent and produces a lot of heat. Haven't personally used the Camping Gaz version for a direct comparison.

The cook 3 deluxe has a ribbed plate, flat plate, ring reducer for the coffee pot etc, and has some small wind guards, and a qr gas hose.
