My motorhome sat nav was working fine when we used it a couple of weeks ago but today it comes with “acquiring satellites” and doesn’t move on.The map that comes up on screen is the last pic of Worcestershire where we last used it.any ideas?

Maybe plug it into PC and it should reboot itself and reset

Try a hard reset on it.on my tom-tom,I hold the power button down until it reboots.Might be the same on a garmin.

At the end of the day, they are all little computers, and just a kick up the bum every now and then👍

I once had this very problem. It took me two days to realise that it couldn’t find satellites whilst inside the house. Doh!!!

I am getting notifications of an update available for our Garmin, so I will have to bring it in the house, plug into the PC, then leave it ages while it downloads & installs the new map updates.
I fitted a large sd card in it last year, as the internal memory was not able to cope with all The EU map changes, but seems to be OK now.

PS: still dont trust it!:swear:

Held the on button in for few mins and it’s worked😊Thanks for that tip!
If you don't press and hold the on \ off button the unit just goes into standby and will deplete the battery over a period of time. When this happens the unit will usually "freeze" at last location.
To fully turn it off you press and hold the on \ off button and a notification should display asking if you want to turn off.

My old Motorcycle Garmins did that once in a while.

Taking the rear cover off and disconnecting the battery for a minute always put it right.
Same as a reset I suppose.
