I think I have managed to set up my Garmin for Live Traffic after downloading the app to my I Pad, I don’t have an I Phone.
This might seem obvious to the more tech savvy amongst us but do I need to have access to the internet via my Huawei and have my I Pad powered up to receive traffic updates from my Garmin.
I have had this Garmin since Christmas and it’s taken me this long to try things like downloading the app.

I think the traffic information is received by the garmin drive app which is available through either the app store for ios or play store for android. You then pair your device to your phone via bluetooth to receive traffic, weather etc.

My Garmin 760 Camper had 'live' traffic enabled, however I found it too unreliable, declaring holdups that were long gone.

Couldn't see any benefit in knowing if there were holdups either, any diversions offered were often impractical and didn't save time anyway.

I disabled it.

Thanks for the info. I am heading for Scotland in the morning so I will give it a try. Downloading the app and matching it to my Garmin seemed quite easy following the instructions.
After thinking about this I see now that there has to be a WiFi link for the Garmin to receive the information hence needing the Hauwei switched on.
The simple solution would be have an i phone but I havnt seen the need for one until recently. The kids and management bought me the I pad to keep in touch or search for sites when we are away. The Hauwei was bought with a voucher to give me WiFi.
