Here's a CS site for chilling out, that we've just been to. It's more like a small campsite than a CS. Tidy, clean facilities, including a motorhome service point, a tourist information room, and a drying room. Two large, level circular gravelled areas surrounded by well-kept grass, with power points for all 5 pitches. The site is 18 acres, much of it woodland, with footpaths and seats. Interesting history. Very quiet, all you can hear is birdsong - until the peacocks start talking. Good base for exploring the Angus Glens. Google Maps doesn't do it justice.
£15 per night, or £18 including EHU with 10 kwh included.
The owners suffered the loss of 400 trees in the woodland during the February storms, but they are doing an excellent clean-up job and, no doubt, nature will take over again soon. Spot the huge swing somewhere in the woods (not on these pics)
