Had a lovely crossing from Portsmouth to Santander. Very efficiently run ship. Food excellent, though some had to cue. No other problems encountered. We had a dog friendly cabin. I know they are like rocking horse poo to book but truly worth it. I don't think our old dog would be happy in the kennels. The best thing we did was purchase a small travel kettle for making our refreshments in the cabin.

Wow! Someone NOT slagging it off, well done. We’ve been on it three times now and we think it’s fine. Not saying I’d like to be on it for a two weeks holiday but for a crossing to cut out France it’s great.

Just boarded the Galicia for the return sailing to Portsmouth. A lovely warm afternoon in Santander, better than the minus one in Burgos this morning. There is snow forecast in the next few days between Madrid and Burgos which was evident by the amount of snow ploughs strategically placed on that route on Thursday

We arrived in Santander on the 23rd had a good crossing, food very good. Lovely clean cabin. We usually do the Tunnel route through France it was lovely to find ourselves not having to drive through France which we’ve done many times before. We return In May all being well. We are on a campsite Pinar San Jose near Barbate on the west coast we’ve stayed here before it’s always been full can’t believe how few people are here especially the British. It’s a lovely site with brilliant facilities.

We saw 3 snowploughs on the 623 from Santander with their drivers in the cab!!! On our aire for 2 nights. Got gas and electricity - what's to worry?
