Just installing my inverter but can't find any information on the instructions about fuse rating between battery and inverter.

It's a 1500w/3000w peak pure sine wave.

I thought I'd read online that I'd need a 400amp fuse then elsewhere read I'd need a 125amp fuse, confused I am.

Happy Saturday all.

Hi.. you are going to need wire capable of handling up to 250 amps...keeping run as short as possible...that will effect the wire size you choose.. and a similar fuse to protect that wire...

I fitted a 125A Mega fuse for my 1500W inverter. The rating for a Mega fuse is the working current and they blow at twice the rated current - 250A in my case.

My suggestion is you fit the same size but buy a spare just in case you need it. :)

Morning Andy. Thanks for reply, yes cable is about 40cm between inverter and battery with a disconnect switch in between as well, I'm using the cable provided with the inverter which is 400amp rated from what I've seen on the cable.

Thanks

Morning. Unless you've changed your inverter I've the same one as you, the edecoa 1500w, I've a mega fuse at 125amps so will use that.

Thanks

Shawn
