Fuel Filter Peugeot 2.0 HDI Adblue engine

Can anybody tell me if they‘ve successfully changed the fuel filter element in one of these housings or is it best to change the whole lot if I haven’t got the necessary clamping device to re-assemble?

That is a totally different filter housing to the one people have problems with.
The troublesome ones are plastic, with a screw on cap, unlike the one in picture which is aluminium with a decent ring of bolts for the clamp, probably has a decent o ring seal.
