Fuel cap (1 Viewer)

Hi guys I've a 2006 arto have a problem with the fuel cap it keeps popping out
On inspection of the cap it has a ring with 3 dogs turn the key one way it free spins and other way it locks so I think that is okay .
The tube it locks into seems to be to big am I missing a internal ring or is something else adrift
Would appreciate any help please

Is it the same as the Ducato/Boxer fuel cap? If it's made by the A-class body manufacturer it will be quite rare I suppose.

Yes, I think N& B like Hymer use the same cap for fuel and water, same except for the colour.

You re right it isnt a fiat part. It is a generic part though, surprised it hasnt got a name on it somewhere but very likely to be the same as some Hymer models. Have you tried Travelworld Wayne mackie ? the parts guy there is excellent.

You need to fix it before the MOT..... its a fail point if it isn't secure.

I've looked at every fiat cap your correct is not there .got on to hymer they are asking for chassis number and photos so hope thay can sort it . Swifter that number. they have one that looks the same but need to check im not missing a neck ring from the tube aswell I will post a photo if anyone has a similar lock could they send me a photo of the tube the cap goes on please

Thank you everyone .the water cap has the same cap and confirms I'm missing the tube collar that the cap locks into unfortunately that part is no longer available but using the water collar as a pattern im making one myself I will make a couple spare if any one ever need one get hold of me will post a photo when I've made it .
