I'm a newbie
Hi expecting strong winds today,, last time my fridge pilot light kept blowing out,, can l partly cover vents or would you advise to turn MH around?

Given average temperatures in the UK are close to or below single figures you should have the vents on now anyway. Some people never use them and have no problems, which they won't but the fridge will probably use more gas. A few folk have problems when vents are fitted but the advice from the fridge manufacturers is to fit them. I always do in winter in the UK. If you fridge works as normal with vents then fit them. :)

I was under the impression that Dometics advice is now to fit when washing and/or storing van not when running on gas

On the bigger fridge freezers they say to fit them when the temperature is below 8 deg regardless of energy source. From experance the top one gets far too hot so I only fit the bottom one when running on gas.

Never used them myself but Lenny I am probably wrong but I am 95% sure Dometic has updated that advice But regardless I have to question if OP has a got an issue with his fridge...it should not be blowing out regardless of how windy it is.
