I see many posts about fridge problems

We have a 18 year-old MH with a Dometic fridge and so far no problems.

Were they built better in 2003?

Haha, I was just thinking that earlier. Mine is 25years old and still works perfectly so maybe yes. A lot of stuff, especially with electronic components, seem to be very.... temperamental.

When we had our famous fridge saga I was talking to a guy called Geoff Cole on a forum. He was experienced with industrial absorption chillers and said sometimes they work faultlessly for many years and yet other times fail early. His thoughts were maybe rust in the system blocking the U bend - maybe if rust additive hadn't been used 🤔

Could it be that many have been unused because of lockdowns and now don’t want to restart

Had a glitch with our fridge when driving, every time we switched the air on on the fridge started beeping, but no flashing lights the only thing left in the freezer was still frozen when we got home. bit odd, think it might have beeped a few times when aircon was off too thinking we have a loose wire somewhere.
