So not quite in agreement here, Would you say an empty freezer compartment will use more gas than one thats full?

pretty Much the same UNLESS it’s new unfrozen goods you have just put in
then it will use a bit more gas getting it frozen , after its all frozen back to much the same

I agree with the above. The instructions for my Fridge/Freezer state quite clearly that the freezer compartment is not intended for freezing food but only for storing frozen food. In practice it will freeze food as we have done many times, though best not to load too much in at once.

Dunno the answer to that, but I can tell you when our old Dometic was filled right up it barely worked..
It was someone on here that suggested taking some stuff out and it sprung back to fully working :)
