What checks should I expect to see on a fridge during a handover regarding the different power sources

I’d suggest wanting to see that the fridge is cold irrespective of power source
Then make sure the that it the burner lights on gas

Not just lights, make sure it stay on too.

But the seller could turn it on in advance

They should show you the different functions of power selection but if not then ask
Most now have auto power source... Mains if on hookup, no hookup it selects gas, if gas is off it will select 12v when the engine starts.... You will be able to over-ride these if needed. IE: Gas if on hookup or gas if engine running.

Was thinking of ours checked 'it worked' at annual service, it lit ok but only stayed on 2 or 3 minutes. if it had been left on while other things were checked the fault would have been found.
